A fun track with Selena listing all the things she would do for her past lover or to get the feeling she once had with this person.
Selena Gomez is back again with a new track. This time with EDM producer Marshmello. I was quite excited to hear this track as Selena makes really fun, catchy pop and I have been enjoying Marshmello's recent singles.
"Wolves" is surprisingly chilled for the Pop/EDM genre. This track starts off with soft electric guitar and continuously builds even though it never completely takes off. The beat drop isn't anything hectic and it remains a more understated song. This really allows Selena's vocals to stand out. Her vocal ability seems to improve with every song she releases. The pre-chorus is pretty standard for EDM as it leads into the beat drop however, in the second chorus Selena carries it with impressive high notes. Something we haven't really heard from her.
There are aspects of the song they could have been improved upon such as the bridge. They could have changed it up a bit instead of just repeating the chorus. Also the ending of the song was rather abrupt as it left you expecting another beat drop but instead it just stopped.
All in all this is a radio friendly song. I think Selena did a great job and I'm looking forward to hearing what else she has in store.
