Sabrina Claudio's new project is titled No Rain, No Flowers and features 8 new tracks from the American native. It follows a similar route as her previous projects with soulful jazzy tones and breathy vocals.

While this album is not long in length, only 28 minutes, there is a lot to love out of the 8 tracks. Claudio tackles love and all the different emotions and feelings that come with being in love and in a relationship. From being vulnerable with her lover to giving up on him and then pining over what could have been. Granted, this is not new territory for Claudio and we don't really get to go into any other subject matter on this album but it's a pleasant listening experience from start to finish.

As mentioned above, Sabrina doesn't give us anything new in this EP and with the result it does sound quite similar to her previous work. If you were to play her previous mixtape, About Time and mix it with the songs from this one you won't really be able to tell the difference between the two. It's great that she has found her sound but a little bit of growth or experimentation would be interesting.

There are songs that stood out more than the rest and those are "Naked" and "Messages From Her". "Naked" shows Sabrina at her most vulnerable during this album. She draws a parallel between the intimacy of being together physically and that of being together emotionally. Sabrina has this ability to be so sensual without ever explicitly singing about sex and this really shows in this song.

"My pride fell down my body like my silk dress"

- "Naked"

Sabrina Claudio shows her vocal skills in "Messages From Her". Opposed to her normally breathy vocals, she puts a lot more power in her voice in this song. You can also hear more emotion in her voice which just carries the message of the song even more. Lyrically, she is essentially singing to her past self. The "dadadada" chorus is a bit of lazy writing but it's forgivable as the rest of the song is not bad.

There are lulls in the album with tracks like "Cycle" and "Numb" as they are both repetitive lyrically. With such a short album it does impact the overall listening experience quite heavily.

Overall, this album is quite enjoyable. It is not the best out of Sabrina Claudio's discography but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a soulful R&B experience.
