Zayn ft Sia – Dusk till Dawn

My first thought when this song was announced was what a collaboration. I think its safe to say Sia has one of the most interesting voices in the pop genre and very rarely fails at making radio friendly bops with a slightly deep meaning. Zayn on the other hand has only been getting better since his departure from One Direction. Basically this song is set to be a hit.

Does it actually reach that expectations? The short answer: Kind of. With Zayn’s soulful, Rnb centric voice coupled with Sia’s unique powerhouse we get a combination which is more than pleasing to the ears. Musically the song doesn’t do much with only a slight build in the chorus.

The song illustrates a ride or die type of relationship.”‘Cause I wanna touch you baby I wanna feel it too I wanna see the sunrise in you” Zayn and Sia croons on the song which would not sound out of place on a fifty shades of grey soundtrack, something both artists aren't strangers to. Not awfully original but pleasing nonetheless.

Dusk till Dawn is not a mindblowing song and it will probably only do moderately well on the charts however, as far as singles go it is not a bad effort on Zayn’s part. Sia and Zayn’s voices work well together and Zayn showed off his vocal ability with a decent amount of high notes. It is a good ballad that will most likely get the replay treatment from me.
