The Strike has been getting a lot of recognition after their song "Human Right" was featured in the new Netflix movie, "To All the Boys I've Loved Before".

The Strike channels elements from the 80's with pulsing bass lines, saxophone solos and funky rhythms. The production is pristine and the lead singer is never drowned out by the instrumentation despite most of the songs being slightly over-the-top. There is a freshness to this band that is so welcomed in today's pop climate.
"Human Right"is the most obvious hit of theirs so far. Its incredibly catchy, has fun lyrics and will have you dancing around the room in no time. I can definitely see this song doing well on the charts. "On Death's Door" is an instrumental piece with a more somber tone and a stunning saxophone playing throughout. This song is especially interesting as it shows the versatility of the band. "All That I Need" goes a softer, more romantic route. The effects on the song are a bit too much at times but the lead singer does a great job keeping the focus on him despite all the effects.
Lyrically, this band doesn't take itself too seriously and the result is feel-good pop music that is guaranteed to put you in the best mood.
Faint of Heart, the band's debut album, is an impressive debut from an independent band with all the songs flowing nicely into each other. This makes for a truly pleasant listen from start to finish. I would recommend this band for anyone looking for a fun new pop/rock band reminiscent of older music.
