4 Albums and 8 Kirstenbosch concerts later and South African band, Mi Casa are still delighting fans in sold out show.

One would think that after seeing the same band perform so many times the novelty would wear off. This is not the case with Mi Casa. The band delivered an electric performance diving into multiple genres and cultures, ensuring that every person in the crowd was catered for.

Lead singer, J'Something does an excellent job of interacting with the crowd, his bandmates and his overall stage presence is commendable. Each band member is also given time to shine with a special jazz segment dedicated to Mo-T on the trumpet and Dr Duda, the producer and pianist, getting a short set in there as well.

What really sets Mi Casa apart from other bands is the raw talent. These guys can perform any song in any genre and it sounds great. We were treated with jazz to old school to EDM. It is clear that everyone not only deserves to be on the stage but is enjoying it immensely. This translates through the performance and as an audience member you can't help but simply enjoy watching them do what they love.

I have been to many Mi Casa concerts and each one seems better than the last. I look forward to seeing what they do next and also Mi Casa if you are reading this please do me a favour and make a jazz album!
